RMS Media Systems Offers Newspaper Web Products

NEW YORK RMS Media Systems LLC in Canton, Ohio, a provider of new media and
prepress systems, as well as outsourced development services for the publishing
industry, now offers products and services to the newspaper Industry.
SportsPage 2.0, the engine behind Hudson Valley Media Group's Varsity845.com,
which brings hyper-local content of sports to readers, combines a calendar with
schedules and results, statistics, and box scores for all sports and athletes
within a publisher's area of interest. SportsPage 2.0 is offered as a hosted
solution or as a standalone product.
Also a hosted solution or as a standalone product, with full integration with
editorial and Web content-management systems, the Newsplotter 2.0 map-publishing
system enables publication of dynamic and original interactive maps with minimal
effort, according to RMS. Ottaway Newspaper Group uses Newsplotter to map local
community information and points of interest in special reports and breaking
news.
RMS Media Systems' outsourced development services are used by United
Communications' Kenosha News and The Attleboro Sun Chronicle and by The Times
Herald-Record, Ottaway's daily in Middletown, N.Y.
The company also reports it has provided several custom RSS feeds. With its RSS
Generator, RMS Media Systems "can create RSS feeds, or parse information to
expound on [its] usefulness to customers," according to a company announcement.
