VisiProof is a fully integrated advertising and page proofing system with built in customer self service.
Overview
VisiProof is a secure browser based page/ad proofing and approval system. Built completely on the Microsoft.NET
framework with an integrated web services architecture, VisiProof is the latest
in online proofing technology.
Pages/Ads are submitted via hot folder or through the web browser and are processed
based on naming convention or advertiser. Once accepted into the system, a versioned
page/ad is sent to a RIP to simulate the production process.
Once ripped, the tiff separations are converted to composite and separated JPG images
that will serve as the on screen proofs.
When a page/ad is ready for proofing a user may choose to be notified by email.
The email contains a “Jump In” link that will take the user directly to the proof.
When logged in to VisiProof, publications or ads may be viewed as thumbnails or
as a list. Each job whether in thumbnail view or list view has links to the original
PDF, the complete audit trail and a link to the proof via the VisiProof ImageViewer.
The VisiProof ImageViewer provides a publication summary or ad metadata summary,
rotate tool, zoom tool, separation selector, sticky note annotation tool and approve/reject
tool. User actions involving sticky note annotations and page/ad approval/rejection
are logged with the user information and the date/time of the action.
Upon approving or rejecting a page/ad, the file is moved along in the production
process to the predefined destination. Once a job is at this status, sticky note
annotations can be viewed but not edited or deleted.
A user may also choose to receive deadline notifications. Page deadline notifications
are configured per user and per publication. It notifies a user by email a certain
number of hours prior to the publication date if any part of the publication has
not been approved. Ad deadline notifications are based on available insertion data
metadata.
Other features include a password retrieval component, password management, and
a complete administration interface for the Host Company or newspaper.
